DJ is a performer, facilitator and role model. He was the first person with a learning disability to get a personal development grant from Arts Council England. As part of that funded project he did a Silver Arts Award (with Corali Dance Company), which included a placement with three companies: Wayne McGregor/Random Dance, Jonzi D productions and New Adventures. DJ has a Diploma in Performance Making for Adults with learning disabilities from Central School of Speech and Drama with Access All Areas. DJ has performed extensively in London and the UK and also internationally. He has performed with Corali Dance Company, Spare Tyre, Access all Areas, Candoco, Oily Cart Theatre Company and Greenwich Dance Agency. DJ also works as an Usher at the Unicorn Theatre in Southwark, London.
Rachel Gadsden, Ali Saied Ashour and Amna Hussein, who are working together as part of the Unlimited International Collaboration It was Paradise, linking artists in the UK and Palestine.
