Catching up on Coventry Connects
In June, we held a short series of event with Coventry City of Culture Trust to celebrate disabled artists, with the aim of connecting up arts sector organisations and individuals based in Coventry and the Arts Council England’s Midlands Area.
The first event was a panel discussion to look at the topic of “New futures: what must we take forward? How can we ensure the new future cultural sector is more equal, accessible and inclusive than the one before lockdown?” The panel was made up of Unlimited Senior Producer, Jo Verrent, who chaired the session, and panellists – Amit Sharma – Birmingham Rep, Rinkoo Barpaga, Joey Mander – Grapevine, Becki Morris – Disability Collaborative Network, and Jo Bannon.
