Jennifer Tomkins, Head of Marketing & Development at Artsadmin (one of the co-delivery partners for Unlimited), explains about an exciting opportunity to be involved with Unlimited’s upcoming publication.
At Unlimited, its important that disabled people have a real chance to undertake any role – from production, to performance and even across the contractors we employ. We’ve worked with disabled evaluators, disabled film makers, disabled panel members and more. Its not that every post or every contract has to be held by a disabled person, its just that we work hard to ensure that we don’t use the same people all the time and are constantly looking to widen the net, and particularly to ensure that disabled people are represented within those processes.
Currently we are looking for a graphic designer and are aware that most of those we know don’t currently identify as disabled people. Do you know anyone who fits our brief?
Opportunity: design brief for Unlimited publication
We are on the look-out to diversify our delivery. In this instance we are looking for a talented designer to help us create a high-quality publication to mark the second phase of the Unlimited commissions programme (2013-16). It won’t be 100s of pages (approximately 28, in fact) but we do want it to be clear, simple, and beautiful. And above all, accessible. We will provide all the copy and all the images. It’s the design and artwork skills that we’re after.
We’d love to ensure a wider range of graphic designers are represented within our contacts. If you are know someone (or are someone) with a strong track-record in print design, have expertise in creating infographics, and know how to ensure accessibility in printed communications.
